Heyy :b T97 here

Just wanted to bring to light an exploit I've seen utillised too many times. Please note that I may mention certain name(s) in this post, but this is by no means an attempt by me to "flame" or dishonor them. I am simply referencing them in the event I am asked for proof.

Basically, on a few maps such as "desert", players are able to capture the flag and lag pillar wayyy above areas that opponents are able to explode. [This is caused by players being unable to place blocks at a certain height.]

So what players (such as WorldShowOFF/WorldShowOFF*) do is capture the enemy flag, pillar onto the walls surrounding the map, and run to their half, where they camp until it is safe to score a capture.

This is a big problem as it means that if the teams are at a stalemate, and "anti-stalemate mode" activates, the player who uses this exploit is essentially "untouchable" and therefore "invincible". This therefore guarantees that it is basically impossible for the other team to capture the flag, as:

1) Approaching him/her results in getting tagged
2) On narrow strips of bedrock, /gr is extremely difficult to pull of for the average Joe (no offense to any Joe's)
3) Due to the fact that the player using this exploit is so close to his/her own flag, it is unlikely that other opponents will be able to react in time and stop the capture, as the player is pretty much a spacebar, w and left-click away from capping. [Which probably takes less than 3s -.-]

The simplest way to take care of this issue would be to add a "roof" or "ceiling" of Bedrock/Adminium to the maps. Personally I feel that this ruins the aesthetic of the maps and is also unfair to the creators of the maps.

Thus, I was wondering if it might be possible to remove this exploit someway via coding/etc.

Sorry for this long and boring post, I'm a literature, art and music major after all... what is life :p

Thanks Smile

I don't think it's possible to prevent it technically, but anyone lag-pillaring in this way should be kicked and then banned if they do it again.
