I believe if the staff were given the command: /warn it would help out quite a bit. Verbal warnings do give a sense of punishment, but if you were able to add a warn to someone's profile it would help level out the negative players (not to say there are many).

But I think it would be cool, so you could do this if you were staff:
/pstats (name)

Pstats for ______
(ip)
Wins: - Games Played:
Tags: - Captures:
Explodes: - Mines:
Ragequits:
Storepoints:
Warns:
- abusing a glitch

I just think it would help. So when it does come time for Jacob_ to find more Operators, he can easily just do /pstats and see if someone has been warned for anything. (Not to say that this is a 100% full proof solution to hire an Operator, but this could surely help assist the process).
I love the idea so staff can keep track how many times someone broke the rules or even spammed, Scabb! Big Grin and keep up the good work with op.
EDIT:Also a ggreat idea would be like after 3or4 warns they get temp banned for 30m-1day depends how bad it is. <-Got better ideas please comment below.

Bel

Great idea! I would like this.
Should it send them a message? If not I think calling it /note would be better, since it could be used for other things than just warnings. For example the staff could keep track of someone's suspected alts that way, or if they lag a lot so they don't get falsely accused of hacking, and so on.
It could say something like;
"You have been warned by _______, for the reason _______. "
I like those idea's, I would have both /note and /warn, so you could complement someone with /note or /warn for anything bad. Idk.
Its good scab
I like /warn, but I don't like when people know all of my alts. Its a pain when EVERYONE knows all of my alts. If you are annoyed by banned people making alts, just IP-Ban them.
Edit: I also say i accept alts because its a good way for people to play scott free of any type of pressure to play well, or play to there ability so that others can recognize it. It generally improves there play (e.g. 30sec on Sasuake).
If you tell the OP's not to give out your alt names, or main name, they most likely won't ( I can't speak for anyone else, but myself ), and we will know who you are anyways, because we can just see your IP.
