I felt like programming today so I added Team Deathmatch mode to the server. It's like CTF except for these differences:
  • No flags
  • No team sides or tagging
  • The winning team is the one with the most kills after 10 minutes (could be longer, or maybe the game could end when one team gets a certain amount of kills)
  • No team spawns, instead there are a lot of possible spawn locations around the map.

The only problem is that there aren't any TDM maps! I think one of the biggest advantages of this mode is the possibilities for map making, since maps can be bigger, asymmetrical, and use more breakable blocks. I've been recreating a building from my college that should be pretty fun:

puurrfect. except I can't play it. Plus I could make several maps a day...

Solution: Replace with /f.
Another option is to give each people X amount of lives, preventing some people feeding kills to the other team.

But either way, it's an awesome idea.
Great idea Smile I'm really free now (holidays) so I could make a map or 2 if there was a map-making server :b
When will it be fully functional?
just a clarification; you can spawn Anywhere on the map?

Cause if someone knows where the spawns are, spawn killz.
So if there is allocated spaces I suggest a 3-4 second grace period where you can't die and you can't kill anyone so you don't instantly die
Oh and might want to make sure people spawn like 5 or 10 blocks away from each other at least at all times.
