After finally finishing reading the whole thread, I feel like I owe everyone an explanation, so here it is.
Yes, I did propose organizing a match between Team Acheron and some team from Jacob_'s community. My idea of it was/is to have a fun match between the two communities since I still have the tournament software hypereddie10 coded for the BattleNexus Capture the Flag Tournament.
I apologize for confusing everyone. Unfortunately Creatoss made this thread while I was on vacation, therefore I couldn't explain things before they got out of hands.
I don't completely understand why some of my fellow team members were so aggressive when responding to this thread and the other one at Acheron's website, although I do have an idea.
The only people who knew or could've known about this idea were the ones that were in the server when I mentioned it or someone who was told about it by them. Thus I understand why some people from Acheron didn't believe this was actually my idea.
My guess as to why this started off on the wrong foot is the fact that Creatoss brought it up (and as I said before, I wasn't able to clear things up). As you may or may not know, he isn't very liked at Acheron. I defended him once from getting banned and was later the one that banned him permanently from our CTF server. I don't have anything personal against him, he just broke the rules and I had to do my job (I've told him this already). But some members of Acheron do, and it's completely understandable.
This plus the fact that I wasn't around to explain things and tell everyone that this event was actually my idea, lead to this big confusion and unnecessary shitstorm on both forums.
I do want to make this event happen, but given what I have read on this thread, it doesn't seem like it will be a fun one, unless people change their perspective of things and stop hating.
My offer still stands, but I don't want to see anyone else fighting over this. The purpose of it is to have fun, and if that isn't going to happen, then neither will this event.
I'm reopening this thread, hoping we can figure this out.
And remember, it's just a game.
