Spawn Mines - Brady - 02-24-2014 Just a few questions. Are they against the rules, or are they just frowned upon? Does the mine have to be a certain amount of blocks away from the spawn you count as a spawn mine? Can you get banned for it? RE: Spawn Mines - Magic102 - 02-25-2014 I had an earlier idea that opponents arent able to place blocks directly where spawn was, and/or several blocks around. RE: Spawn Mines - T97 - 02-26-2014 I feel that the radius of protection should be about 3-4 blocks? Because if it's too large the gameplay in maps like Sector9 and Caverns, where running through the enemy spawn or back through your spawn is sometimes necessary, would change quite significantly... And since mines (which have a 3x3x3 explosion radius) activate about 1-2 blocks away (depending on lag) having a circular "spawn-shield" with a diameter of 6-8 blocks would allow players to see the mines and react to them.
