Observation of TNT - Cheesse - 05-21-2015

After experimenting with TNT, I've found that there are some issues.

The range of TNT seems to be shifted in the X+ Z+ direction by about half a block. This means that at the sides facing this direction, TNT has a range of about 2.5 blocks, while on the other sides, TNT has a range of about 1.5 blocks.

The range of TNT in the Y directions is only 1.5 blocks instead of 2.

These issues happen regardless of teams, however the direction of the TNT range shift does give the red team an advantage...

Mine, Bigtnt, Rocket, Grenade, and Creeper haven't been tested.

If you want, I can show you on the server.

I'm interested to see if this the same with gr and r....It would explain how you can dodge 'em even if it hits the block below you...

RE: Observation of TNT - Jacob_ - 05-21-2015

That could explain why people keep saying red is better. How about now?

Red team will always rule.

Fuck off bishes.... -_-

RE: Observation of TNT - Cheesse - 05-21-2015

Well it seems that the range of TNT is now normal, except that the range of the TNT above it is only one block.

RE: Observation of TNT - Jacob_ - 05-21-2015

I think the center of the player model is slightly more than half a block above the feet, so it's out of range by a small amount.

RE: Observation of TNT - Cheesse - 05-21-2015

The client actually sends the coordinates of the eyes of the model to the server, not the actual center of the model. The eyes are 51 player units above the feet, or 1 & 19/32 blocks. You may want to check for inaccuracies.

Auwwwww >_< ......Too much maths and numbers out of school....

RE: Observation of TNT - jack - 05-21-2015

I like it not blowing up the feet. Please don't make it so the feet blow up.
